Restoration of St Wilfrid's

We are very grateful to English Heritage especially, and to many other donors for helping us in some major renovation works. The roofs of both side chapels have been repaired and replastered inside. We have also had some replastering completed in the lady chapel and in the vestry. The church is now much drier and looks so much better. Once the plaster has dried fully, we will endeavour to repaint the inside of the church.

St. Wilfrid's Church, including the Viking Exhibition, remains open to the public as usual.
